The policy of Admission in Mount Carmel College allocates particular consideration to the physically challenged, financially backward, scheduled tribes and caste, communities of Catholics and other communities that are socially and economically backwards. The rest of the seats are allocated on the basis of pure merit.


Detailed Procedure


The forms of application for admission to Mount Carmel College are currently available online for undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses for the academic session of 2018-2019 from the 1st of March 2018.
There is no mode of offline application. Applications for admission are only available and accepted online.
The fees for application are paid online through a secure and highly encrypted payment gateway. The fee of application for undergraduate courses is 500 INR and the fee of application for postgraduate courses is 700 INR.
The admission fee needs to be paid in full amount on the interview date. The fees are non-refundable in nature. Once the payment is made, the amount will not be returned to the payer under any circumstance.
It is mandatory for every student to study and take the second language examination as a part of the college curriculum. No student will be exempted from either studying the second language part of the course or from taking its examination.
It is mandatory for the aspiring student or the applicant to upload a soft copy of their recent photograph of passport size to the online application form along with her signature. The file size should be less than 100 kilobytes; otherwise, the uploading will not be successful.

Mount Carmel College Eligibility Criteria


The admission into the college for pursuing courses in Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com.) is entirely based on pure merit.
The admission into the college for pursuing courses in Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) is based on the result of college entrance examination.
For admission into the college for pursuing courses in Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), the students will have to clear the college interview and it is mandatory for the student to have mathematics as a subject in her twelfth grade or equivalent. The interviews are conducted after the +2 results are officially declared.
For admission into the college for pursuing courses in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), the students will have to clear the college interview which is conducted after the +2 results are officially announced.
For admission into the college for studying postgraduate courses (P.G.), the applicants will be selected based on pure merit.
The Mount Carmel College is accredited as A under NAAC and recognized by University Grants Commission for excellence.
